Babylon Fuzz
Here's one hot of the breadboard. It's my first really unique circuit. I'm still not sure how to classify this circuit. Basically, it's the boost portion of the Electra Distortion x2 in series.
It's medium-high gain, pretty tight, and moderately amp-like in certain situations. Lower notes tend to sound more like a silicon fuzz than an amp.
Here's a very rough sound clip, so you can get a basic idea of what it sounds like.
I like it. Quite a bit, in fact.
Here's the schematic for those who want to see what's going on in the circuit. The schematic includes power supply filter cap, reverse polarity protection, and an input cap pulldown resistor that are not part of the layout below.
