Effects Project: Seven Forty One
Here's my first real op amp-based project. I snagged the schematic off the web somewhere a few months ago (can't find the site now), and tweaked until it sounded good. Here's a new schematic I drew up.
Kinda like a Dist+ but more fuzzy.
It uses a common, cheap LM741 op amp as the core, but you could also use any modern single op amp (that isn't externally phase compensated like a LM308), such as a TL071 or TL081.
No gain knob, because I play with gain wide open anyway. :)
I present the Seven Forty One. Scroll down for a version that uses MosFETs as clippers instead of diodes.
